UNDERSTANDING THE RE/MAX BUSINESS MODEL

For those who are passionate about property and have found their true calling in real estate, RE/MAX might just be the brand you’ve been looking for. Being a successful real estate agent is a whole lot easier when you’re backed by a well-established brand that wants you to succeed more than anything. At RE/MAX, our business model is unique as it’s built around the concept of entrepreneurship.

Each RE/MAX office is independently owned and operated, and high-performance agents have the opportunity to join an office as an independent contractor. To help you understand what this means for your success as a RE/MAX agent, below is a list of the key concepts that define how RE/MAX is structured:

RE/MAX has a regional support office
Our offices are not separate branches operating under a head office. Instead, each office is an independently operated business supported by a regional office that organises network-wide events, facilitates training, provides IT infrastructure, rolls out national marketing campaigns, and ensures that all use of the RE/MAX logo is brand compliant.

Our franchisees are independently owned & operated
This means that each office has the freedom to make its own business decisions independently. Our Regional Support Office does not get involved in the day-to-day running of an office and does not extend influence over how the office chooses to run its businesses unless it is tarnishing the overall reputation of the RE/MAX brand or is in breach of the RE/MAX Franchise Agreement.

Join as an independent contractor
gents who join as independent contractors operate in a similar capacity as a Broker/Owner of a RE/MAX franchise. They operate as their own independent entity and are not under the direct control of an office. As an independent contractor, an agent can earn as much as 100% of their commission, which acts as an incentive for them to work hard and enjoy the full reward of their efforts.

With RE/MAX, you’re never alone
RE/MAX was able to become the largest real estate franchise in the world owing to our unique business model. Providing individuals the opportunity to be in business for themselves but not by themselves is what attracts so many to not only join but remain with the brand for the rest of their careers.

Reach out to a RE/MAX associate
For those who are still on the fence about joining the RE/MAX family and would like to know more about opening a franchise or becoming an independent contractor, reach out to your nearest RE/MAX Office or contact our Regional Support Office on 021 700 2000.
